The Challenge

The Challenge
A multi-billion dollar non-profit organization had several departments that utilize donation data. The donation data was collected from multiple systems including seven websites and three apps. This architecture created data silos and a lack of a centralized view of their donors. The friction introduced by their architecture made it difficult to track donations and maintain up-to-date information about their donors.

The Solution
Dataco deployed Airbyte as a tool to collect data from various source systems, which were subsequently loaded into Snowflake. The data underwent a cleansing and transformation process using dbt, creating a unified table containing all entries, regardless of their source system. This consolidated table was the foundation for multiple identity resolution initiatives involving techniques such as fuzzy matching and machine learning models. As a result, the organization can now detect duplicate identities present in various systems across different systems. This process enabled them to create a unified, definitive record, commonly called the “golden record,” which can be accessed by all departments.

The Results
The various departments within the organization now have access to current and reliable data, which they can refer to and utilize in order to maintain their systems up to date. This streamlines their operations by eliminating the need to seek information from all departments whenever updates are required, thus reducing friction in their processes. As a result of their new holistic view of their donors, the organization can now enhance the effectiveness of their fundraising efforts, increase interdepartmental cooperation, and allocate internal resources more efficiently.

The Challenge
Outdated formats and legacy systems were a hurdle when building a comprehensive view of a patient’s adherence to their medical programs. The Solution
Dataco conducted an analysis of the company’s existing system to determine the ideal data stack that met its unique needs. Data produced by physicians, healthcare programs, customer service systems, and internal departments were modeled, configured, and ingested in a cloud-based warehouse. Once in the cloud, data was transformed and prepared for consumption in a modern BI tool. This provided the company with a comprehensive tool to view KPI performance, assess the success of their programs, and ensure a superior experience for their customers.
